When officers arrived at the 100 block of Norris Street around 7:10 a.m., a construction worker who was examining the area for an expansion project, directed them to the 1400 block of West Front Street where they saw the body of a woman lying face down, according to the City of Chester Police Department.
Paramedics from Crozer Chester Medical Center pronounced the woman dead at the scene, police said.
There were no obvious signs of trauma to the woman, police said.
The victim's identity is being withheld until her family is notified.
